On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at approximately 11:24 p.m., Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on Garden Pond Way in Spanish Springs regarding a reported peering incident.
Deputies contacted the reporting party, who alleged that a delivery driver had stepped off the walkway and looked through a bedroom window of the residence. The homeowner stated the suspect also appeared to have a cell phone in hand during the incident.
The suspect was identified as 32-year-old Sun Valley resident Jason Ebel. Deputies later contacted Ebel at his residence, where he admitted to looking through the window but denied any inappropriate intent.
After reviewing evidence, including video footage uploaded by the reporting party, deputies determined there was probable cause to charge Ebel under NRS 200.603.2B (Peering Through a Window with a Camera), a Gross Misdemeanor.
The investigation revealed Ebel was working as a delivery driver at the time of the incident. His place of employment was notified of the arrest.
