Washoe County, March 2, 2025 – Over the past week, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) has arrested 14 individuals on charges of Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Thankfully, these incidents did not result in any loss of life.
Nationally, impaired driving continues to be a significant concern, with approximately 30% of all traffic fatalities involving impaired drivers.

The WCSO urges all community members to plan ahead when consuming alcohol or impairing substances. Options such as designating a sober driver, arranging a ride with a trusted friend, or utilizing rideshare services are essential to prevent impaired driving and ensure everyone’s safety.
