On April 3, 2025, at approximately 6:50 a.m., Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence in Cold Springs following a report of an unresponsive child.
When deputies and medical personnel arrived on the scene, life-saving measures were unsuccessful and the juvenile was pronounced deceased.
WCSO detectives responded and initiated an investigation. During the course of that investigation, they discovered significant signs of physical abuse inflicted on the juvenile.
Following interviews with the juvenile’s parents, the father, Nicholas Loving, was arrested and booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility on the following:
