Update 11/29/25, 8:15 p.m.: William Farwell was located deceased in California in what is believed at this time to be a traffic-related accident.
The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation, and there is no additional information available at this time.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate 71-year-old William Farwell.
Farwell was last seen at approximately 2:00 p.m. on November 28, 2025, leaving the Golden Valley area on his blue 2022 Honda VT Cruiser motorcycle (motorcycle pictured). He is believed to have been heading toward the Portola, California area for a ride and was expected to return the same day, but did not.
Farwell is described as 5’6″, 145 pounds, with hazel eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black boots.
