On March 17th, 2026, members of the United States Marshals Nevada Violent Offender Task Force arrested Nathan Potier, 36, and Erica Palmer, 36, both from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on outstanding felony warrants. The warrants, issued out of Oklahoma County, are for Sexual Assault of a Child for Potier and Enabling Sexual Abuse of a Child for Palmer.
The arrest resulted from an ongoing investigation conducted by members of the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit (RSONU), who are also members of the Nevada Violent Offender Task Force in partnership with the United States Marshals Service and the Nevada Department of Public Safety. Task force detectives uncovered information indicating that Potier and Palmer, both wanted fugitives, may have been hiding in the Reno/Sparks area.
Task Force members pursued multiple investigative leads and ultimately identified the subjects’ location. Once their suspected location was confirmed, a coordinated operation was launched, and both were taken into custody in Sparks, Nevada. They were transported to the Washoe County Detention Facility, where they were booked into custody. They will be extradited to Oklahoma County to face the charges originating from that jurisdiction.
This case demonstrates a high level of coordination between investigators and partner agencies. Through these joint operations, law enforcement remains focused on locating individuals attempting to avoid detection and ensuring they are held accountable, while continuing proactive efforts to track and monitor registered sex offenders within our region.
The Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit is comprised of members from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department, Nevada Parole and Probation, and the United States Marshals Service.
