The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce the return of Barks & Badges, a free community event hosted by Washoe County K9 Partners, on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.
This family-friendly event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and offers visitors an opportunity to meet the deputies, K9s, and specialized teams that help keep Washoe County safe through demonstrations, interactive displays, and educational exhibits. With Hot August Nights activities taking place throughout the Reno area that weekend, visitors are encouraged to stop by Rancho San Rafael Regional Park and experience this unique opportunity to meet the men, women, and K9s of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.

Admission: Free and open to the public

- For everyone’s safety, please do not bring dogs or other pets.
- The Rancho San Rafael public Dog Park will be closed during the event.
