March 25, 2022. Reno/Sparks, Nev. – The Washoe County Health District (WCHD) and other community partners are conducting focus groups to gather information about the health and wellness of the community.
Washoe County residents are encouraged to participate in expressing their opinion in a conversation to assist WCHD make improvements in the community. Information gathered from these focus groups will be used to create programs and services to improve lives in Washoe County.
Focus groups will begin starting March 28, 2022, with the majority taking place at the WCHD at 1001 E. 9th bldg. B, Reno and one taking place in Downtown Reno Library. Chosen participants will receive a $ 20 gift card for participating in the focus group.
Participants will be asked questions related to health and nutrition, likes and dislikes about the community among other topics.

The Washoe County Health District is nationally accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board and has jurisdiction over all public health matters in Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County through the policy-making Washoe County District Board of Health. The District consists of five divisions: Administrative Health Services, Air Quality Management, Community and Clinical Health Services, Environmental Health Services and Epidemiology & Public Health Preparedness.
