May 12, 2025. Reno, Sparks, Nev. – Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) and over a dozen regional partners are hosting a bilingual Food Business Resource Fair on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Neil Road Recreation Center, 3925 Neil Road, in Reno.
The purpose of this free community event is to help those starting or expanding any type of food business obtain the necessary health/safety permits and licenses required to sell food items in Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County.
What to expect:
- Health/Safety Permits & Licenses: Get help to start/expand your food business, including assistance with permit applications.
- Free Pre-Inspections: Bring your mobile cart or food truck for free pre-inspections (worth $500).
- Expert Advice: Learn about health and safety regulations, and business resources from experts who speak both English and Spanish.
