Regional agencies partner to host Food Business Resource Fair

July 19, 2024. Reno, Sparks, Nev. – Individuals interested in establishing any type of food business are invited to attend and bring their food carts/trucks to the upcoming bilingual Food Business Resource Fair on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Neil Road Recreation Center, 3925 Neil Road, in Reno.

Northern Nevada Public Health is partnering with a dozen regional food business regulatory agencies and small business resource organizations to offer this first of its kind food business resource fair with state and local agencies designed to help individuals obtain the necessary permits and licenses required to sell food items in Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County.

The Food Business Resource Fair aims to educate attendees on health and safety regulations, permitting and licensing requirements, and available business resources. On-site assistance will be provided for completing business licenses and health permit applications in both Spanish and English. Additionally, NNPH will be offering free informal pre-inspections for food carts and food trucks ($500 value).

This is a must-attend event for individuals interested in owning restaurants, food carts, food trucks, and those seeking cottage food and special events permits.
