Presentation on septic and well regulations to be held Jan. 12, 2026

Jan. 7, 2026. Reno/Sparks, Nev. – Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) – Environmental Health Services (EHS) is continuing its quarterly educational sessions for real estate professionals and residents to provide guidance on handling transactions involving properties with wells and septic systems.

The next presentation will occur Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, from 3-4 p.m., at NNPH’s main location (1001 E. 9th St., Building B, Conference Rooms A&B, near the main lobby). Future sessions include April 13, 2026. Others will be posted at www.nnph.org/septic.

NNPH has regulatory authority over sewage and wastewater disposal, and well construction within Washoe County. Transactions for properties using well and septic systems are typically more complicated due to the risk improper sewage releases can have on the public.
