June 3, 2026. Reno/Sparks, Nev. – The Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) Air Quality Management Division (AQMD) is accepting requests for a public hearing of the District Board of Health (DBOH) Regulations Governing Air Quality Management Prohibited Emissions – Section 040.033 – Food Establishments.
The public has 30 days to request a public hearing before AQMD transmits the regulation to the Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP) for submittal to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Copies of the revised and adopted regulation are available at OurCleanAir.com on the Public Outreach page.
Public hearing requests must be submitted by July 3, 2026, and include first and last name, mailing address, and contact information. Your request can be submitted in the following ways:
- Email to AQMDPlanning@nnph.org.
- Mailed or dropped off to the AQMD office at 1001 E. 9th St., Reno, NV 89512
If no request is received by the deadline, the public hearing scheduled for a future DBOH meeting will be cancelled. AQMD will notify the public of cancellation via email and on OurCleanAir.com. The public may also call 775-784-7200 to find out if it has been cancelled.
The Chapter 040 revisions were initiated due to revisions of DBOH Regulations Governing Air Quality Management Chapters 030, adopted by the DBOH on Sept. 26, 2024, and 050, adopted by the DBOH on July 22, 2021. Adoption of Section 040.033 occurred on April 23, 2026 by the DBOH.
