Northern Nevada Public Health Postpones Public Hearing for Air Quality Maintenance Plan

Oct 6, 2023

Reno/Sparks, Nevada. Oct. 6, 2023 – Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) – Air Quality Management Division (AQMD) is postponing the public hearing for its second 10-Year Maintenance plan for the Truckee Meadows 24-Hour PM10 Maintenance Area.

NNPH, formerly the Washoe County Health District, scheduled the hearing for Oct. 26, 2023, at the District Board of Health meeting. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has provided additional guidance related to the contingency plan section of the document. Given the required revisions to the plan, AQMD wants to ensure the public has an opportunity to review changes made to the plan. The public hearing will be rescheduled at a later date.
