Jan. 13, 2026. Reno/Sparks, Nev. – Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) is hosting another free flu shot clinic this Friday at the NNPH main clinic on 1001 E. 9th St., Building B, from 1-4 p.m.
NNPH hosted a similar event on Jan. 7, 2025, and more than 100 residents attended. The average time to get a flu shot at NNPH is about 5-15 minutes depending on how many people are waiting.
Insurance and appointments are not required.

“The flu vaccine is one of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of serious illness and hospitalization,” said Dr. Chad Kingsley, District Health Officer for NNPH. “With flu cases continuing to increase in Washoe County, this is a quick and convenient way to be protected.”
Local pharmacies also offer the flu vaccine.
In recent weeks, visits to emergency rooms and urgent care centers have increased due to the flu and other respiratory illness. Hospitalizations related to influenza have also risen sharply and are being reported across all age groups.
