June 12, 2025. Reno/Sparks, Nev. – Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) will host a new workshop for restaurant operators interested in performing special processes in their facilities – Our Special Processes Fair on June 23, 2025.
The event will cover all the basics and give a roadmap to getting your special process approved.
At the Special Processes Fair, NNPH will review the critical information and components needed for each of the special processes. Many food operators might find this beneficial, especially those who have considered:
- Setting up an outdoor barbecue this summer
- Have patio access for dogs and their owners to sit together
- Extending the shelf-life of some foods by reduced-oxygen packaging or fermentation
Get the need-to-know information about conducting each of these processes safely and in compliance with our regulations.
