NNPH encourages air quality permit holders to attend upcoming free Air Quality Workshop Series

Reno/Sparks, Nev. March 4, 2024 – The Nevada Business Environmental Program (BEP), a partner of Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) – Air Quality Management Division (AQMD), is hosting a series of workshops in the coming months specific to local air quality regulations.

This series covers minor source permitting, annual emissions reporting, gas dispensing operations, and dust control permitting. Find the schedule and more information on these workshops online here.

The next workshop covers Dust Control and is on Tuesday, March 5 from 10 a.m.-noon at the University of Nevada, Reno’s Redfield Campus, Room 221. This workshop will cover who needs a dust control permit, control measures for dust and maintaining a dust control permit.

NNPH encourages anyone who manages a construction site, landscapers, contractors, and consultants to attend this training. Registration is required for the free workshop and can be done online.
