Nov. 14, 2025. Reno/Sparks, Nev. – Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) – Foodborne Disease Outbreak and Recall Response program is alerting families of a voluntary recall of infant formula.
ByHeart a baby nutrition company announced that it is voluntarily recalling all batches of ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula cans and Anywhere Pack™ nationwide out of an abundance of caution following a notification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of a broader ongoing investigation into a recent outbreak of infant botulism.
Recalled products:

- Lot: 206VABP/251131P2 — Use by 01 Dec 2026
- ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula cans
- UPC: 85004496800
- Anywhere Pack™ products
- UPC: 85004496802

Products were sold through ByHeart.com and retail locations including Amazon, Kroger, Walmart, Whole Foods, Target, SamsClub.com, and others.
According to the FDA, ByHeart formula represents approximately 1 percent of all infant formula sales in the United States, and this recall is not expected to cause any national formula shortages.
Parents and caregivers using ByHeart should:
- Dispose of the product
- Sanitize any items that contacted the formula
- Monitor infants for symptoms and contact a health care provider if needed
Botulism symptoms may include:
- Constipation
- Poor feeding
- Weak or altered cry
- Reduced facial expression
- Difficulty swallowing
- Generalized weakness
