Sept. 12, 2025. Reno/Sparks, Nev. The Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) – Air Quality Management Division (AQMD) is hosting a workshop to provide information on the Asbestos NESHAP Renovation and Demolition Notification requirements in Washoe County.
The intent of the workshop, which will be held Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, from 11 a.m. to noon, is to meet with stakeholders and the community to provide proactive outreach, education, and compliance assistance on AQMD’s enforcement of the Asbestos NESHAP Renovation and Demolition Notification requirements in Washoe County (40 CFR Part 61 Subpart M and the District Board of Health Regulations Governing Air Quality Management PART 040.110 – Asbestos Control Standards).
This is not a notice of a new regulation or a revision to an existing regulation, but rather an opportunity for the regulated community to receive clarification on how to comply with existing Asbestos NESHAP Renovation and Demolition Notification regulations.
