March 17, 2025. Reno, Sparks, Nev. – Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) is accepting applications from members of the public to join the Sewage, Wastewater and Sanitation (SWS) Hearing Board.
There are three board positions that open May 1, 2025. Alternate members are also sought for the board to be involved when needed. Members with on-site sewage disposal systems experience are encouraged to apply.
Applications for these positions will be accepted until Friday, March 28, 2025, at 5 p.m.
The SWS board consists of five members and two alternates appointed by the District Board of Health.
Regular members and alternates must not be employees of Northern Nevada Public Health and:
- Have at least two years of experience in sanitary engineering or public health sanitation; or
- Are knowledgeable in the construction and operation of on-site sewage disposal systems
Members must be residents of Washoe County. The Board meets as needed.
