Failure to get dust permit leads to $650 fine

The District Board of Health approved an AQMD recommendation to uphold and fine a company $650 for failure to obtain a dust control permit prior to the commencement of dust generating activity. Dust control permits are required for a surface disturbance of an acre or more, unless the activity is specifically exempted in the regulations.
