May 19, 2026. Reno, Sparks, Nev. – Northern Nevada Public Health is seeking applicants to join two public-health related boards that have current openings.

Air Pollution Control Hearing Board (APCHB)

The Air Pollution Control Hearing Board is seeking a contractor licensed locally to serve a term for three years. This Board meets as needed and is charged with hearing appeals when a negotiated resolution to an air pollution complaint cannot be achieved.

Food Protection Hearing & Advisory Board

The Food Protection Hearing Advisory Board is appointed by the Washoe County District Board of Health to serve, as needed, when an appeal or variance hearing is required by the regulations governing food establishments. At least two members must be representatives of the local food service industry.
