Health District closed for staff training Nov. 29-Dec. 1 from 8am-2pm

Reno, Sparks, Nev. Nov. 28, 2022 – The Washoe County Health District (WCHD) will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for all staff training the following days:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 29
  • Wednesday, Nov. 30
  • Thursday, Dec. 1

Many WCHD services can be accessed via our website, www.WashoeCounty.gov/Health. The WIC Office on Moana Lane will reopen at 1 p.m. and the Environmental Health Services front desk at 1001 E. 9th St. Building B will reopen at 1:30 p.m. All other services we ask that you call or visit us at 2 p.m. or later on those days.

The Washoe County Health District is nationally accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board and has jurisdiction over all public health matters in Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County through the policy-making Washoe County District Board of Health. The District consists of five divisions: Administrative Health Services, Air Quality Management, Community and Clinical Health Services, Environmental Health Services and Epidemiology & Public Health Preparedness.
