The man who was found guilty of 1st Degree Murder with the Use of a Deadly Weapon in the killing of Michael White, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Ray McBride was previously convicted of the fatal 2023 shooting of White, following a 5-day jury trial. An investigation determined that White had been visiting the defendant’s girlfriend when he was shot by McBride three times.
During sentencing, Deputy District Attorney Adam Cate argued for the life without parole sentence that was ultimately imposed for McBride, based on his violent criminal history and his continued danger to the community. Prior to this case, the defendant had been convicted of three felonies, including Battery with Serious Bodily Injury.
The Honorable Judge Egan Walker presided and imposed the sentence.
