Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks is announcing that a jury has convicted a man of all charges in connection to a child sexual abuse case involving three victims. Francisco Jaramillo (dob 3/6/79) was found guilty of three counts of Sexual Assault Against a Child Under 14, three counts Lewdness with a Child Under 14, and one count of Attempted Lewdness with a Child Under 14.
The case involved the first victim, then-10-years-old, who in 2015 disclosed that Jaramillo forced her to touch his penis. Jaramillo also asked to touch the child. Between 2020 and 2025, a second victim came forward and disclosed multiple instances of sexual abuse and assault by Jaramillo, starting when she was 4 years old. The third victim, a 7-year-old child came forward in 2025 after she reported that Jaramillo touched her inappropriately and exposed himself to her and tried to make her touch him. None of the three victims knew each other and all three were children that Jaramillo had regular access to. In each case, he also told the children not to say anything, or something bad would happen.
During trial, all three of the victims testified against the defendant, providing detailed accounts of the abuse against them. Chief Deputy District Attorney Peg Samples and Deputy District Attorney Kristina Rhoades highlighted Jaramillo’s grooming behaviors and the similar pattern of sexual abuse he subjected the children to. Sentencing is set for December 1st before the Honorable Kathleen Drakulich, with Jaramillo facing multiple life sentences.
