On August 21, 2026, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a deceased individual located off the dirt extension of Chimney Road.
Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detectives continue to actively investigate the circumstances surrounding the individual’s death. Detectives believe the decedent may have been at the location for an extended period of time before being discovered.
Investigators are asking anyone with information related to this case, including anyone who was in or frequented the area prior to the discovery of the decedent and observed anything suspicious, to contact detectives.
