At 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam will hold a press conference to provide information regarding the Sheriff’s Office’s use of Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology.
Local media are invited to attend and will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the technology and its use by the Sheriff’s Office. Media will also have an opportunity to capture B-roll of the agency’s use of ALPR technology and learn more about the information available to the community.
