VYA, Nev. – The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue, has completed evacuation notifications for residents in the Vya area impacted by the S-1 Fire.
With evacuation notifications now complete, the S-1 Fire remains active and fire crews continue suppression efforts in the area. Conditions can change quickly, and residents should continue to monitor official information and be prepared to follow any additional instructions from emergency personnel.
The public is asked to avoid County Road 8A and County Road 34 in the affected area whenever possible to allow firefighters, law enforcement and other emergency personnel to safely continue response operations.
