The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is renewing its request for information related to the February 2022 homicide of Anna Scott.
On February 3, 2022, the body of 23-year-old Anna Scott was located inside a burned vehicle on southbound Interstate 580. The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined her cause of death was homicide.
Although arrests have been made in connection with the case, investigators believe there are still individuals familiar with the circumstances surrounding Anna’s murder who have information they have not shared.
Investigators are asking anyone who may know more about what happened or who was involved to come forward and share that information.
“While the arrests made in this case are an important step forward, our work is not finished,” said Sheriff Darin Balaam. “We believe there are still individuals who have information about Anna’s murder and have not yet come forward. We are asking them to share what they know. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI remain committed to seeking the truth, holding everyone involved accountable and pursuing justice for Anna, her family and the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal community.”
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI remain committed to reviewing all credible information and continuing the investigation as the case moves forward.
