The Northern Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has arrested a suspect following a joint investigation into the possession and distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
On June 30, 2026, the ICAC Task Force assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation in serving a federal search warrant at a residence in Reno in connection with an ongoing federal CSAM investigation.
During the course of the investigation, detectives identified a juvenile victim known to the suspect who was at risk of continued exploitation and abuse.
During the execution of the federal search warrant, ICAC Task Force members arrested 42-year-old Zachary Stockinger at the residence. Stockinger was transported to the Washoe County Detention Facility, where he was booked on the following felony charges:
- Possession of Visual Presentation of a Person Under 16
- Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material
- Use of the Internet to Control a Visual Presentation Depicting Sexual Conduct of a Person Under 16
- Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance
The federal investigation into the possession and distribution of CSAM in this case remains ongoing.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office spearheads the region’s fight against child exploitation by dedicating full-time resources to the ICAC Task Force. These cybercrime investigators collaborate closely with the Sparks Police Department, FBI, Nevada Attorney General’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Carson City Sheriff’s Office to locate and apprehend offenders responsible for exploiting children. These investigations are further strengthened through participation in the FBI Northern Nevada Child Exploitation Task Force, where all ICAC members serve as sworn federal task force officers.
