Washoe County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit/ Northern Nevada Interdiction Task Force (NNITF) Remove Drugs and Illegal Firearms from Community

During routine enforcement duties this week, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) K9 Unit/ Northern Nevada Interdiction Task Force, conducted two successful interdictions that resulted in the seizure of approximately five ounces of methamphetamine and two illegal firearms.

This operation highlights WCSO’s ongoing efforts to proactively address criminal activity and prevent dangerous contraband from circulating in our neighborhoods. The seized narcotics and firearms were safely removed from the community, reducing potential harm and enhancing public safety.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to keeping members of this community safe by removing contraband from our community. Our K9 team/NNITF play a vital role in these efforts through vigilant, routine enforcement that helps protect residents across Northern Nevada.
