Nevada Women’s Fund Announces Results of Inaugural Best Places for Women to Work in Northern Nevada Survey

Reno, Nev. (October 15, 2025) – Ila Friedenthal, President & CEO of Nevada Women’s Fund (NWF), is proud to announce the results of the Fund’s inaugural Best Places for Women to Work in Northern Nevada survey, recognizing organizations that are leading the way in creating inclusive, supportive, and empowering workplaces for women across the region.

Participating employers collectively represent a workforce of more than 33,000 employees throughout Northern Nevada. The 2025 survey, conducted by Nevada Women’s Fund, aimed to shine a spotlight on businesses and organizations making meaningful efforts to support women in the workplace—while also helping identify areas where NWF can drive greater impact through future programs and partnerships.

“These results represent more than recognition, they reflect real progress,” said Friedenthal. “By celebrating the organizations that are truly empowering women, we also inspire others to adopt best practices that strengthen our entire regional workforce.”

The “Top-Performing Businesses by Size” included:

  • 501+ employees: Washoe County
  • 201–500 employees: Greater Nevada Credit Union
  • 50–200 employees: Access to Healthcare Network
  • 1–49 employees: Nevada Rural Housing

Survey results are based on self-reported data from participating organizations and are intended for informational purposes only.

The next Best Places for Women to Work in Northern Nevada survey will open in April 2026, with recognitions to be announced in September 2026.

“Our goal is to build a roadmap toward equity,” added Friedenthal. “By identifying both the successes and the gaps, Nevada Women’s Fund can better serve our community and continue advancing opportunities for women in every sector.”
