Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Suspect in Commercial Burglary and Grand Larceny Case

On July 7, 2025, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) Patrol Deputies responded to a report of a commercial burglary at Worldwide Cyclery in Sparks. A high-end bicycle, valued at approximately $5,200, had been reported stolen.

During the course of the investigation, deputies identified the suspect as Juan Gomez-Arredondo, a former employee of the business.

On a subsequent date during the local Reno Bike Night event, Gomez-Arredondo was located in possession of the stolen bicycle. He was taken into custody without incident.

Gomez-Arredondo was booked on the following charges:

  • Commercial Burglary
  • Grand Larceny
