NNPH Compliance Virtual Workshop: Paint Stripping & Surface Coating Permits

June 5, 2025. Reno/Sparks, Nev. – The Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) – Air Quality Management Division (AQMD) is hosting an online workshop to provide information on Paint Stripping and Miscellaneous Surface Coating (40 CFR Part 63 Subpart HHHHHH) Permit requirements in Washoe County.

The intent of the workshop, which will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, from 11 a.m. to noon, is to meet with stakeholders and the community to provide proactive outreach, education, and compliance assistance on the AQMD’s enforcement of the Paint Stripping and Miscellaneous Surface Coating Rule (40 CFR Part 63 Subpart HHHHHH) in Washoe County.

This is not notice of a new regulation or notice of a revision to the existing regulation, but rather an opportunity for the regulated community to get clarification on how to comply with existing Paint Stripping and Miscellaneous Surface Coating regulations.
