Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Fatal Hit-and-Run Involving Bicyclist

Washoe County, NV — The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred last night on Eastlake Boulevard.

On May 28, 2025, at approximately 9:00 pm, deputies responded to a report of a traffic collision involving a bicyclist on Eastlake Boulevard between Guffey Drive and Side View Way. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male who had sustained serious injuries. The individual was transported by medical personnel to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The vehicle involved in the collision is believed to be a pickup truck of unknown make and model. The driver did not remain at the scene and was last seen traveling southbound on Eastlake Boulevard.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) responded to the scene and has since concluded its on-site investigation. Eastlake Boulevard has been reopened to traffic.
