Washoe County, NV- The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Human Exploitation and Recovery Operations (H.E.R.O.) Team recently conducted a multi-day operation focused on recovering trafficking victims, providing positive contacts for advocacy, and enforcing laws related to human trafficking and exploitation throughout the region.
This operation, conducted from April 2 to April 4, 2025, successfully facilitated the recovery of nine individuals identified as victims of human trafficking or exploitation. The operation also resulted in one misdemeanor arrest, the investigation of a domestic battery case, and the initiation of two human trafficking cases.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office H.E.R.O. Team remains steadfast in its mission to safeguard the most vulnerable members of our community. This recent operation underscores the unit’s commitment to dismantling human trafficking networks and providing victims with a pathway to recovery and support, all while treating them with dignity and compassion.
